Workshop Wednesday E13-14 #18
Taillight of the '72 Ironhead was on the list for a long time and finally I found time to work on it. The Old Garage sticker was covering the clear licence plate lens so I took a newer style glass and made a licence plate light by drilling two holes, grinded it into a slot and took a piece of MX goggle glass to make a clear lens. The sissy bar was changed again cause this stupid motherfucker didn't think about clearance to take the lens of so I could never change a tail light on the road, now I can...

'67 FORK UPDATE
The fork of the '67 Ironhead was not working properly and I found out the oil level was too high and after wasting a lot of fork oil on my clothes/shoes/floor it works better now. No testride yet but it can't be worser cause it looked like I had a "Hardfront" instead of "Hardtail".

Workshop Wednesday E13-14 #16
Its time to change the rubber ugly oil lines into steel braided lines. Took of the sprocket cover and found out the chain has hit the cover in the past so I grinded the plate to have more chain clearance and to make it look original. Clutch cable of a 1967 Ironhead is a pain in the ass to remove and after searching the WWW and Youtube nothing was found so I had to do it my own way again, yes it worked. Next up is installing the LOWBROW external Oil filter house, than new steel braided oil lines. Cleaned everything, polished the bolts to make it look as nice as possible.

Happy New Year! 2014 will be a RIDING year instead of BUILDING year, I rode 500 miles in total with 5 Harley-Davidsons so I feel like a poser. I will make some changes to the bikes so I can ride in the rain too. Frontfender is much needed in The Netherlands, screw Chopper rules, screw Style points, screw everything: I WANNA RIDE WHENEVER I WANNA RIDE! Frontbrake is working fine, oh yes: Screw the "No Frontbrake is cool" rule too! Fresh oil is a fresh start for 2014, hope to see you on the road in 2014.

Workshop Wednesday E13-14 #14
Did some stuff on the '72 Ironhead: The Bubble visor is leaving, it fogged up all the time so no clear vision with the head light. I found an old 50's / 60's cigarette holder I might use as cover, mock up looks good so I will check if its possible to make it happen. The MX Gasthrottle was not placed like I wanted so I made it the way I like it the most. The Sissybar got some upgrades, bent it straight and made some gussets cause it cracked on both sides... Working on the foot controls next wednesday.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND THANKS FOR CHECKING HOODLUM SOCIETY! Paul.

Chrome tank on the 1972 Ironhead, new Eurol 20W50 oil and new intern oilfilter so its ready for....The Liberator show in March 2014. Same #72 graphics, chrome won't get you home but I hope it does. Goodbye Mercedes 230E: you did a great job for 4 1/2 years and now our government makes new rules so you are going to Belgium and have a good life ahead.

Workshop Wednesday E13-14 #12 Twin Air Filters
Its always nice to have friends in the right places. Twin Air is hooking us up for the last 15 years in Motocross and now they made special filters for the Hoodlum Street/Flat Tracker. We tested the airfilter this year and it was awesome, with the special GP cover you can ride in dirt/rain/snow and don't have troubles at all. Try to do that with your "paper" air filter, it won't work. Twin Air also made a breather filter with special GP cover, its a prototype so we let you know later if it works, well we know its gonna work, don't worry, Twin Air know their stuff in the Air Filter world. Simply the best and made here in The Netherlands only 8 miles from our shop. Thanks Pieter and Leo @Twinair.

Time to put another oiltank on the '72 Ironhead. The old one was not broken but I bought a nice survivor Chrome tank with a nice Chrome cap so I will put that one on this H-D. Painted the back to prevent from rust and the 72 logo will be placed later on. Cleaned everything behind the tank so its time to place it back next week, new 20W50 oil and intern oilfilter. In the meanwhile the sissybar broke so thats another project....

New braided brakeline for the '72 Ironhead. Its about time this bike has a frontbrake, been real close to some accidents cause in Holland you can't ride safe without a frontbrake. Buell X1 brakelever for 7/8 bars, braided brakeline with straight and 80 degree couplings, '86 sportster caliper.
Stolen Pictures
I don't like to steal pictures but on the other hand: Did they ask to take a picture of me??

Workshop Wednesday E13-14 #9
Bought a Buell X1 Front Brake Master Cylinder on ebay, brand new. I will use it on the Universal Motocross bars (7/8") so I don't have to work with adaptors anymore from 1" to 7/8". Buell is using 7/8" bars so this was the best choice after I figured it out. (I only have my Buell X1 for 11 years.....)
Made the lever silver to match the black&silver Universal MX Clutchlever. Now I need to order a
braided brakeline in the good size and finally after a couple of years the '72 Ironhead will have a front brake again. It even has a brake light switch so I can make it "legal" too.

Spencer McCabe's Bell 500 Helmet at Hoodlum Society
At Texas Toast we had an auction for the ARF (Athlete Recovery Fund) at the Bell Helmets party so of course I was bidding like hell and won this very nice Bell Helmet (my size M) done by Spencer McCabe. It fits the 1972 golden Ironhead very well and last but not least Aaron Cook of the ARF has some extra money to spend for a good cause.

Workshop Wednesday E13-14 #8
Horn on a Flattracker sounds stupid, and it is. But sometimes its very handy so I was thinking for months how to make it happen and now it is ready. The horn is behind the numberplate and the pushbutton is between the tank, mounted on the toptube. It works, looks clean, nobody know what it is and they all got scared when they push it hahaha. Made of a piece of S&M Slambars and a piece of BMX Forks so total price was Euro 4,50 for the button. Did a testride today: I feel more stupid...yes the front wheel balancing worked so well, no more shaking even when going 85 mls/hour.Problems solved. Did 500 km's so BaMo Tech put some new oil/oilfilter on the machine and its ready to go....well after Winter.
