Fender struts ready for action.
Fender struts from the old are going to be used on the new fender. I just made them lean forward in the same angle as the shocks. It looks awesome but don't know if its strong enough, lets find out in a few months when I'm ready for a sunny testride, hope it will be weeks...

More guitar updates...
Grinded of the sides, welded the holes, cut some chain hole and made the fender smaller in the bottom so the chain is free. Now going to take of the paint with paintremover/heated paintstripper/sandpaper whatever the shitty job needs, the sandblaster is moved out of the workshop so no use of that this time.

Mudflap change.
It took a couple of hours to decide to make a new guitar (Fender hahaha), had some old fenders that came with the bike and took an old Sportster fender and started the project. After some hours of checking where to cut the fender I took a shot and welded all the holes and grinded everything that was in the way of the chain. It's almost the same as the old one but this one has a nice rib on the sides and is way stronger than the old one. So far I like, now its time to find out how to mount it to the swingarm.

Workshop Wednesday #11: '72 Ironhead with cast wheels.
Our son Boyd turned 5 today, that means 13 years left of building. Hooked him up with a new Avon Speedmaster tire from Short Cut Choppers. It is a bit smaller than the Continental 5.00 tire so I have to fabricate a new fender. Don't know if I want to get rid of the old fender, I liked it very much but I have some years to think...

Belgian BMX Museum
Yesterday we visited the Belgian BMX Museum for the second time, if you think you have the biggest BMX collection think twice, you can't stop Khaled! Very nice BMX bikes from different brands and in top condition. My favourite is of course the Black/Gold TORKER with a Cook and Bros in second place and a real Belgian MX hero as third: MONGOOSE ROGER DE COSTER. Thanks for the hospitality and see you next year when the collection is twice as big...

Hoodlum Society promotion board
Made this Hoodlum Society board by myself, no not using scissors but a Roland V12 sticker plotter. It took many years before I spent the money but its well worth it, no more sore fingers. Stickers can be made in all sizes and fonts, not really cheap but they look very professional.

Workshop Wednesday #10: Heat Shield
I like picture #1: Hot babes on my carburetor, thats not the only reason to have a "Heat Shield". I know its not very stylish but I rather have cold air and no burn spots on my pants. Lowbrow Customs shipped this nice chrome shield and TMV provided the heat protector sticker sheet.

XL1000 rear wheel sex change.
The '72 Ironhead already had a 1986 sportster 9-spoke cast front wheel and now its time to change the Male 40-spoke wheel to a Female 9-spoke cast rear wheel. Cleaned the sprocket, Polished the bolts, Scotchbrited the brake disc and made the wheel shiny again, youngest part is over 25 years old and still looks like new.

Customer #0000001 again: customised license plate holder
Customer 0000001 keeps me busy, some more stuff to powdercoat and some adjustments for his license plate holder. Longer slot, got rid of 1 lip and painted it black with Heat resistance paint so it stays on in the Cologne heat.

Workshop Wednesday #10: Mirror Mirror on the Wall...again
Mirror on the '67 Ironhead, same deal: Ticket saver. Below the grips as usual, this time I found this genuine Harley-Davidson mirror in an old box in the shop, must be from the XL1100 and it was the right shape and size so I was lucky today. Some adjustments so it won't hit the gastank and clutchlever, I can even see some traffic (or cops).

Cleaned the Hoodlum Society shop today.
Wanted to hang the 1980 Mongoose Motomag and 1979 CPX100 for a while but now its finally done, threw the sandblaster and compressor out to create some space for the grinders, its not 100% done but so far I like the new set up. Customer #0000001 has some new work for us so we can start the job with a fresh shed.

Last day for #4, soon to be #5
Boyd was riding his last session with number 4 today, he will be five soon so we will change his number plate to #5. Learned a lot today: Higher speed in corners and even jumped over some small wooden jumps.

Workshop Wednesday #9: Happy New Year! I'm Exhausted already...
Its 2012 and I'm already "exhausted", pipes for Avy's bike are ready! I'm super stoked it turned out this way, it seemed a hell of a job but in the end it was not that hard with help of the Biltwell pipe kit. The H-D mufflers are hanging on a mirror clamp on the bolt on hardtail and Motorcyclestorehouse provided the clamps to hold the mufflers and headers to the cylinders. No polishing, no welds grinding, no cleaning yet, I don't even know if I'm going to. Lowbrow provides a heatshield to save my leg and carburetor and Twin Air will ship some heat shield stickers. While drinking a Monster this makes my list of company's I like to thank for the help in 2011:
BILTWELL, LOWBROW, MOTORCYCLESTOREHOUSE, TWIN AIR, MONSTER, ROYAL JACK
