Workshop Wednesday E13-14 #1

 

 

 

First WW was a good one, I had this ugly clear hose as a breather running around the Mikuni carb and wanted to change that. Bought this Breather kit for the Buell X1 but didn't use it after all so I mounted the kit on the Hoodlum Society C-bike. I like the racing look but the filter is going to change color to Orange, silver or black. No testride yet but it won't be a problem I guess...

Workshop Wednesday Edition 2013-2014

Tools are ready for the Workshop Wednesday Edition 2013-2014. New Tools are always nice to make your inspirations true, you can't have enough. Its getting colder everyday now so we will make some modifications on all Hoodlum Society bikes in the next 20 or so Workshop Wednesdays.

XL900   1967: - Horn, Oil lines, Oilfilter, Oil, Oiltank, Forks and maybe a Engine overhaul.
XL1000 1972: - Frontbrake lever, Frontbrake line, Oil, Chrome Oiltank, Oil Lines
XL1100 1986: - Horn, Balance front tire, Headlight switch
SX125   1974: - For sale Euro 1995,00
Buell     2001: - For sale Euro 4995,00

This is the final setup, I will use this for as long as I like it, not perfect but good enough for now.

Eindhoven de Gekste.

Did a testride with the '67 Ironhead, although this is my worst bike it was running very well today, took some pictures a the grafitti wall at Skatepark Area51 in Eindhoven de Gekste.

I always wondered why those chopper dudes use 1/2" rods to make fender struts or sissybars...so my weak stuts died and I'm trying to make a new sissybar/fenderstruts of a 10mm Gamma bar for Euro 7,00 or so. First attempt is round above the taillight, Second attempt later with a square top following the taillight. Lets see whats nicer.

F1 Nürburgring 2013

 Yes this close I was at the Red Bull box of my friend Sebastian Vettel!

 80 Mechanics are working on the car and tires during the weekend.

 This is not your regular car brake, this cost probably more than your car and house together.

 Holding a F1 steering wheel, I like the DRINK button (White) the most of course.

 It's dangerous in the pits, the cameraman learned the hard way on Sunday.

 Rain tires: NOT NEEDED!

 These Pirelli's kept the cars on the track this time.

TOYO Tires

TOYO Tires weren't really on my favourite list but I come back to that statement: they are AWESOME! Both on the Magnum and Mercedes I have TOYO tires and I must say they rule.
Bobby Gordon can jump with them but I haven't done that yet....

Out of Gas #101

Last wednesday I dropped some Biltwell Kung Fu grips off at the Flake Kings Headquarters for their Kustom Kulture bike. Had a nice River soda and tried to make it home before dark cause I didn't test my headlight yet...it turned out that a 15 minutes ride became a 75 minutes ride. Out of Gas #101.
I'm the king of "Out of Gas" and yes it happend again. Don't ask me why, but the iphone helped out and made it home, well almost not cause my bolt came out of the topforkclamp....Lets spent some more money on Gas and Locktide.

Tuf Neck BMX Stem

Today we gonna clean up this nice 80's Tuf Neck BMX Stem, not a restauration, just cleaning
and some new bolts. It will look nice on the 1983 Patterson PR200.

Saints and Sinners show Geldrop

Second Saints and Sinners show took place today in a Church located in Geldrop only 10 miles from our warehouse. Pinstripers/painters from all over the Netherlands and Belgium showed their latest artwork. Nice stuff was seen in the Church and outside, our kids liked this Chevrolet Corvett the most but the owner didn't want to swap with the Magnum. Well I never asked of course.

Mellow Yellow

Winter is over....last few details before riding the shit out of this Ironhead. Yellow glass for the Ecoline headlight and some chrome covers for the fork. Hope you like the new front end set up.

No EDR for me.

Liberator Show 2013

Hoodlum Society: deadlines are for pussies.

Bikes are ready for the Liberator 2013 Harley-Davidson show at the end of our street, its going to be the coldest ever, minus 10... but with only a mile to go the bikes are not warm enough to heat your hands. It was a good and long winter, hope we can ride the shit of all our bikes this summer.

SPRING IS IN THE AIR! Last Workshop Wednesday:

I was lucky enough to testride the project I worked on for 22 weeks a while ago. THIS IS SPRING IN THE NETHERLANDS! Only 3 days to go for the Harley-Davidson Liberator show, its only 1 mile from my house but I think I have to order some snowchains now. Fuck this, I used at least 15 spray cans, spilled a gallon of fork/engine oils to make the World a bit warmer but Al Gore is a liar, the World is not gonna warm up any soon.

Motor Mount

         Cleaned up the motormount and made a switch for the headlight for Hi-beam and Low.
